OK so i have a 92 civic with a d15b7. i was driving started sputtering when i leave a light. so i pulled my plugs and just!!! the tips are soaked in oil. its not leaking from the valve cover seals czuse its dry. its only on the threads and tip... and im not!!!! blowing smoke so ya help please it my daily got kids help please!!!!

rings could be going? maybe bad headgasket?

If head gasket went to cylinder you would blow blue, yet it is possible for oil rings to start going and still have good compression, if the car sits at idle for a few min does it start to blow smoke, and puff when your leaving a stoplight or from a stop. r u sure its oil?

Does a D series have spark plug tube seals? If those are shot, oil can soak the sparkies and cause your symptoms.

{The actual VC gasket could be fine, meaning no external leaks.}

Pretty inexpensive and easy to do, and pulling the VC will allow you to get a peak for any other potential issues/causes?
