Here the thing Im running a B20B with ha p8r head, dont know if is the low or the high compression, chipped computer with a crome basemap,62mm tb and a whale penis intake along with some other mods.
Every time I hit the gas before the tach reaches to 7000rpm the car start making some weird ass sound like if it was boosting and it doesnt seem to go past the 7k mark(havnt tryed to,Im affraid that it might brake).Could it be that the car is soaking way too much air?

If the B20B you have has a knock sensor then it will be the newer model and should be high compression. Larger chambered intakes cause the "boosting" sound that you're describing. The fact that it will not go past 7000 may have something to do with the tune on your chipped ECU seeing as a Base map is just that, the BASIS of an actual tune. Definitely check your tune if you purchased one of those chipped ecu's on eBay because they are mass produced and may not be exactly what your motor needs. Engines are like finger prints they may all look similar but the variations are limitless.

the other thing is that the low compression B20 should not really be revved past 7K

They will have a threaded hole on cylinder 2. If the KS is not there and its a b20b4 its usdm and is low compression. if its a b20z2 its usdm and is 9.2:1 if its a b20b w/a KS its a 9.6:1 jdm engine.
