Is it possible your idle is higher b/c your fan is running? Thats my thought..probable something to do with controlling your fan like the switch

well i noticed the higher idle about 4 months before the fan started to run a lot more then usual. i am thinking the fan problem might be a switch but im not sure.

its been like that for so long that i dont really notice it anymore. i redid my entire grounding system with 4gauge cable. it helped alittle, i am kinda worried again now that i am putting a lighter flywheel in this week. man i cant wait, i hope it gives me enough to spin in 1st..

spin in first? shoooooooooot I have trouble NOT spinning into second! You should do a write up with some pics on all the things you redid with the grounding setup. I redid the basic one upfront with a 4 gauge, but thats about it. I have SO much 4 gauge and other high quality audio cable snipets sitting around (from an old job)

if you think its a switch with the fans. then just rewire them to a swtich. when you get in the car flip the switch. when you get out flip it again..could also be your coolant temp switch. and have you tryed adjusting your idle. with the screw on the throttle body ?

ghettokracker pm me and i can tell you what all i did..

i have not tried to adjusting my idle on the throttle body because i thought when i get the problem figured out then it should fix it and the idle would be back to normal. it idled fine until about 6 months ago.

have checked/replaced any and all vaccum lines ? when i first got my g2 it had a funny idle. i went out and bought a assorted 3a racing silicone hose kit from autozone. replaced all hoses by the intake manifold.it fixed the problem. odds are man its a pin hole in a vaccum hose. there hard to find but easyer to just replace the lines. do it one at a time.dont be stupid like me rip them all out then spend 2 hours following avaccum line diagram. also might want to try this get anew pcv valve. like 4 bucks at autozone. but there a bitch to replace on our cars. needle nose pliers should do it but its not easy. i had to break mine in half to get it out.. there is also a hose under the pcv valve. but you have to be under the car to see where it goes.

ya just replace them. you might spend 10 bucks. at autozone there rubber hoses are like a buck 25 a foot. you need to figure out the sizes of your lines.i took one of each size that i see on my car off. then figured out how much of each size i need. all in all i spent roughly 10 bucks give or take 2.

its like a 1.20 or something like that a foot.
