Well...I had the T-belt off 2000 miles ago so I am guessing it was installer error. I can't be mad at anyone but myself.

too tight? i know its tough to do an audible check since you have a supercharger already. when i tightened mine too much it sounded just like i had one lol....

looks like you better pay attention to belt deflection with a ruler and make sure you get the slop out of the timing belt on the top between the cam gears. LMK if you need any help tensioning it right.

I dunno...I got the belt off today and every tooth on there that was not stripped off was lifting off the belt...the belt looked like it had 130,000 miles on it. It had only 20,000 on it. WTF!?! I pulled the head and sure enough I bent all the exhaust valves in #2 and 3.

yeah man theres really no way to not bend some valves. hopefully thats it though? just through some new valves in there with some new seats and your good to go? it would suck if the chamber is wrecked or pistons were all marred up.

Awesome that you got it fixed! Did you buy a new head or have the old one rebuilt?

The damage was just in the valves so I bought some new ones and had them put in at the local machine shop. 35 bucks in labor and 70 for valves was not too bad. Luckily I had a set of valve seals just laying around.

The head has been done up by Portflow and has nitrided stainless valves, all Supertech valvetrain and a good port and polish done on it so I was not willing to get rid of it.
