Ok. Bear with me here. Here's the deal. I'm building a figure 8 race car. Rules say all stock for class. No modifications, no air intake, header or exhaust. So I'm relying on having a good light drive train and right gear to utilize my power.

I had a 91 2.1 prelude 5 speed 4ws car that I previously raced. It had the perfect gear for it.

Currently building a 91 1.8 5 speed DA.

Question? How can i tell what/if the gear ratio would be the same?
I need to getg it close as possable. Can I run the b21a tranny with the b18?

We run 2nd gear and stay in second gear. The speedo on the prelude was striped out so idk speed. Wana,know how I can calculate it. Thanks

Also the car suposably has a stage 2 clutch. And I wana put a light flywheel (8lbs) in it. Hopefully making it rev faster. So a lil longer gear would be better tthan shorter

And a 91 crx si runs outa gear and hits rev limiter if this helps
