a wideband is an oxygen sensor. it just gives you a digital and more accurate read-out of the AFR's. and yeah integraguy summed it up nice. u get what u pay for( and every once ina while some1 gets lucky with them)
Most Wideband O2's still have analogue outputs, not digital. They also don't give you a more accurate readout, they give you a wider spectrum of voltage readings...hence they are called wideband. Instead of sending 0v to 1v as an OEM narrowband O2 does. The wideband O2 can send between 0v to 5v signals therefore the afr's can be a wider range.
As for the ebay turbo kits, x3 on the "you get what you pay for" On the other hand a good turbo is only as good as it's complimentary parts.....specially in the engine management department...... i.e. tuning!

How do you plan on tuning if you don't want to pay for a WBO2 sensor. Even if you take your car to be tuned, the shops will usually charge for the use of their WBO2 sensor. you could go old school and read plugs, however I have found that for the price of 5 sets of good quality spark plugs you could buy a WBO2S......
