Hey everybody. I have a 97 LS with a short ram intake, greddy 4-2-1 header and greddy sp2 cat-back system, and am looking to get another roughly 20-30 whp out of the engine.Ive been looking into purchasing a new set of cams, intake manifold, and throttle body, and I know ive heard good things about crower, skunk2, and edelbrock for each of these parts. Just wondering how much power I should expect out of this set-up and if there are any other accessories necessary, as well as some good sites to find these parts on. Also, if it would be cheaper/more effective to just get a JRSC kit. Thanks in advance...

honestly if you want like 20-30 more horses outta your motor, you could do it all motor but it is gonna be very expensive...or by the time you spend all that money going all motor you could of gone turbo or put a little spray on it for the same or less...

really? I've heard that with cams, an IM and TB on a car with I/H/E already i could see nearly 20 to the wheels, but maybe im mistaken.

i mean you can, like with my car with i/h/e, IM and crower stage 1's with a nice ass tune on hondata i put like 147whp which is like 165ish to the crank... with nitrous i put 200whp and 180 ft-lbs...with bigger cams and such yea but then you gotta upgrade the valvetrain too and what not...its ur call just givin u ideas...check out my build in the build journals

yah thanks for the estimate. Does anyone know about how much it would be for cams, IM, and a TB? I'm, having a hard time finding the parts online, and want to try and spend under 1K. Thanks.

honestly, you will see most of your gain from a professional that will tune your car...i saw around a 13whp gain from my tune
