sorry guys, this is kind of a noobish question here.

lately i've been thinking in making a custom mandrel bend exhaust for me ED. i'll be slowly piecing the bends and the money until i can take it to a muffler shop and do it.

i've been searching around for the bends i need to piece it together, but i haven't found much about it.

here's a drawing i made of the middle part, the one i need to do (i already have a mandrel bend axleback). sorry for the quality of the image:




in that drawing, there are two 45 degree bends right after the cat. then there's one 90 degree bend right after the cat, followed by two 45 degree bends and from there to the axleback.

so, that's what i need? four 45 degree and one 90 degree bends?

is it possible to just run it straight between the cat and the resonator?

all you prolly need is 2 90 deg. bends, and a straight piece...i would think you would be able to fit it with just that

honestly for the money...it will prolly cost you more money to get all the parts and have someone weld it together (unless u know someone to do it for free)

you could also just get a custom exhaust from a exhaust shop (no crush bends) for like 200$ or so...not going to be mandrel bent but it will be good enough

i see your point and definitely i agree on the cost of piecing together a custom exhaust vis à vis buying a kit.

nevertheless, and in my case piecing it together will be cheaper than buying the kit. i live outside the continental usa, so that means ass rape shipping costs.

I paid a local exhaust shop $70 to build my 2.5 inch cat back. I also already had the axle back they just made the middle section for me. You should be able to find a shop to do it a similar price. Dont worry about the resonator with a cat and muffler it wont be to loud and will save you some money. That muffler looks big and should be fairly mild sounding.
