this is my project, im doing a jdm b18b swap w/ a gsr trany. it have past a year and 1 month since i got the car, and almost 10 month since i got the engine. just a few things left to do swap. here is what i have done so far.

this is my car a 94 del sol

the engine, got it clean, put a new set of piston rings and a new set of gaskets

got the valve head back from the machine shop(just brush).

start to reasembly the engine

painted the coolant connecting pipe

got the engine totally seal, ready for engine oil(after the swap).

painted the valve cover, oem black

got a xtr clutch kit, POLYURETHANE mount kit and some other mising stuff

brand new del sol dohc rear bracket,and mising bolts.

the gsr tranny

hope to do the engine swap soon and feel the diference, but if things don't work as expected got my backup option :lol:

For a second there I thought we might be valve cover buddies. But then you painted it and i was sad :( . J/K nice sol I like the Si wheels the look good on your car. BTW did you get the VTEC ac bracket? Just wondering because that is how you run ac in a dohc swapped sol. A few places sell it online for a fair price.

me personally i leave the bottom part on just cuz if rocks and shit get in there it will be bad news...def leave the bottom part on..

i am thinking the same thing
you might want to go over the cam timing cause in that last pic it looks like there off a tooth
other than that nice progress with the build
my girl is envious causse i have been tryin to find a sol to put her LS swap in

Great set up man...My good friend has the almost identical set up only his motor is high mileage and beat to death but he has the exact same clutch,and flywheel. Gsr tranny (with Type R final drive 4.77)
in a EG hatch and his car is foolish for not spending a whole lot of money.
he hit 14.0 on motor and 12.9 with a 75 shot.

thanks, hope to see close numbers to those, do you remember what header your friend was running?
4-1 or 4-2-1?

about the engine haven't done so much, and i know the intake cam is retarded one tooth and i really dont know were i left my lower timming belt cover,
but i will look for it. thanks

however on the car after some cleaning got the engine bay painted. will post pics soon
