yeah but LHT,and some other companies have mounted the m62 (with alot of mods) to an ls,and there wasnt really an improvement,as when you hike the boost up, the engine can only handle so much with the kind of heat from a roots type. By the time you modify it to fit the car,and add an intercooler, you could have a -very- nice turbo setup,or just intercool the LS m45 version for alot less. If your really concerned about BIG boost, go turbo. JRSC is a great way to go, hopefully pickleteg will post up here, hes got the worlds most powerful JRSC Ls.

Intercooler systems are about 700$

Right on,so if you just want JRSC, you're better with the M45 setup.

WOW! How did I miss this thread? Here is the scoop with our cool cars. The thing that hurts us the most is our small ports/valves and terrible cams. The m45 produces a lot of heat but there is a guy maned Jim Helbing who is a huge JRSC guru that told me he did a LS with a M62 bolted on. He made 4 more whp than the M45 setup..... If you wanna make more than 200 Whp then don't even bother with the LS JRSC setup. Just my $.02.
