So I just picked up a built head for a deal I couldnt pass up.

LS head:
Ported
Valve Job
Crower 404's
Full matching crower valve train with crower dual valve springs.
head was cleaned etc and resurfaced
and a AEM adjustable cam gears

Im gonna grab some p30's and arp hardware to put the block together. and see where that puts me with a skunk2 IM and bolt ons.

If I want more im gonna spray it also ... we shall see.

I grabbed the head because it was such a good deal, but right now my car has a completely stock LS swap ... with a skunk2 intake manifold and an intake.

as for the plans, Im gonna pickup some P30 pistons/shot peen the stock rods, run ARP bolts/head studs etc, balance the rotating assembly and hone the block. The decision I have to make is if I should just buy another LS block to put together, or buy all the parts and do it to the one I already have = more down time for the car.

put it all back together, bolt the head on and get it tuned - from what I have figured using some of the compression calculators online I should be around 11.3:1 compression. Oh, and I will also have to get a header and exhaust since its all still stock :).

Very nice. Any picks? If you don't mind me asking, how much did you pick that up for? That sounds like a really strong build when all will be said and done.

almost identical to my set up full LS B18A1

JG edlebrock 301 cams with adjustable gears
P30 B16 pistons 11.6:1
shot peened and machined rods
arp rod bolts 8mm
arp head studs
skunk2 intake manifold
hondata gasket
4-1 header 2.5" collector

never got it tuned yet but its a huge difference.

I grabbed the entire head for 350 shipped.

^^ are you happy with the results? I dont daily drive the car or really race for that matter, just trying to build a complete package car to have fun with ya know.

something to take for a spin on nice days/out on a cruise with friends etc ...

Im like a 4 year old on christmas lol, I cant wait to put it all together, I also havent driven my civic in over a year now - house/fiance/wedding > car, but Im almost there.
