Just wondering if anyone has heard anything about the new K series engines. I've been looking at the RSX's and I dont know much about the K Series. Input will help...

Well, they're VTEC....RSX-S are powerful stock...EP3 type shifter set up... $$$$$$ out the wazoo.... K24 block with k20 head can be built to wail...

Wow, i posted on the old site abou the K series and didnt get much. I got more in this one post than all the old ones combined. Thanks. I had heard that they had been blowing up for no reason. Anybody else hear or run into this?

i have never heard about them blowing up for no reason. especially if its mostly stock. if there was any engine work like pistons then that is just a chance that is taken. could have been an extremely bad tune, or a horrible driver. but any way again, i have never heard of 1 that is stock to blow up for no reason. when i was looking to get a different car before i bought the teg i thought about an RSX-S but it was just an idea never took any action on it because how expensive they were used.

k20's are prone to bearing failure when being reved over 8500rpm... thats about it for failure, build one right and they make downright silly power. stock heads can support 250-300hp NA. 270 hp is common with a k24 block high comp pistons cams good boltons and kpro.

check out k20a.org though this isnt the place for kseries...
