Just letting y'all know, I re-registered finally. Check out my signature for some status on my F22ax all-motor projects. I finished the red Accord project (91 DX) and am currently well in process of the white Accord project, like more than 3/4 into it. I have a few more major parts/work to do and it will soon be engine assembly time. I plan to have this white Accord project finished by end of Spring 2007 and driving it throughout Summer 2007 enjoying it.

In brief, my red Accord project (91 DX) is my daily driver, milder F22 build. The white Accord project (91 EX) was the full-street build with 12:1 compression, etc.

Of course you know I'm talking about the H23, but everyone always forgets about it when they talk non-vtec.

I'm less than two hours from Augusta.

As far as carnage pics, I'll try and get some soon, but my schedule is jam packed this week. Tileing and finishing off the basement and a few other things for the holidays.

I'm keeping my build low key for now, but as more parts come together I may post up some stuff.

For now I'll leave it at this:
Darton
Crower
Wiseco
Delta
Moroso
Golden Eagle
ARP
ACL
Cometic
KMS
etc
etc

F series DOHC? Never/heard/know anything about that? Sweetness. Tell all your F series buddys to come over and support nonv :-)

more people=potentially more info and expereince=better for you
yup.
it came from the prelude si's in japan. here they came with h23's.

its an f22a block, with an h23 head pretty much. except the pistons are different(-11.6cc), which gives it 9.2 cr. its a great engine

my f22 powered prelude pulled off 116whp and 116wtq on a 97 degree day with 82% humidity, indoors after 14 other catless cars went on the dyno. It was over 110 in the dyno bay. That is with a stock cat, ebay header and intake, and WS2 exhaust. Other cars from my local club were down 25-35whp versus what they dynoed at 6 weeks earlier. This is an automatic prelude BTW.

In late march, earily April I'm doing a 5 speed swap, and intent to put a new motor in it while I'm at it. I can't decide which way I want to go though. Help me decide if you don't mind:
1)F22A1 block, stock internals bored .25mm over (85.25mm X 95mm), ported H23 im/head milled .020", cometic head gasket, 8-10 lbs of boost, hondata s200 for tuning. Roughly 240whp/wtq when done, but won't be turboed for tracking this year (maybe 130whp?)
2)F23A1 block, stock crank and rods, OEM TSX pistons for 11.2 compression (87mm X 97mm), 2307cc's of discplacement, ported H23 head/manifold, cometic head gasket, crower stage 2 (or delta regrinds) cams, valve springs of sorts, hondata s100 for tuning. About 200whp and 185wtq when done, but cams will wait till late this summer, so 170whp for track day?

I've also got a 90 accord dx for my daily driver, so losing the prelude every once in a while doesn't bother me. I just need to pick a build ASAP to start collecting parts.

first thing, bore out to 86, or dont bore out at all. .25 wont do much.

hone your block, get it mic'd, then get some pistons with the correct clearances.

240whp can be had with the engine being stock on 8lbs on a 14b or 16g. If thats all you're going for, then dont bother on boring out or doing anything to the block.

F22 blocks can take some serious boost without problems. its the pistons/rings you should be worried about.

an f23 would be a very interesting build.

On the tsx pistons, while they may be the bore you want, it doesnt mean they will fit the rods. You gota worry about piston to valve clearances. I'm pretty sure the stroke is going to change becuase they dont have the same piston pin location.

do some more research before you make your plans and start buying parts.
