Hi, I'm looking for a quality Header for a B18B1 for an Integra. I have searched the site but only yielded a couple results. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

jdm DCsports 4-1 is a good cheap alternative, crappy ground clearance
i have a profab that i like, was 450shipped but its not SS, its coated mild
other goodies are jge with a 2.5" collector (modified from 2") and if you got the $$ then any OTS hytech/smsp

search here for topics i created to find my pictures of my profab

I have a used but in great shape Rage header. Basically a copy of the SMSP. It is the big tube race version, tri-y, 2.5" collector, stainless.
$500 plus shipping. Best price I've seen for new ones is $650.

Edelbrock makes an affordable header, but it will need a collector modification to 2.5 to really make good numbers.

^^^^ +1 it is rare that people say the right word.

It all depends if you are looking for cheap with decent quality. or expensive with real good quality. All n/a headers will yield about the same power. Now its all about sound, look, and longevity.

show me a huge hp difference between two headers with the same diameter. of course a 4-2-1 header will have more down low and a 4-1 will pull up high. on a four cylinder car you will not gain any more than 4-8 hp on a stock engine. same goes with an air intake. some are more expensive than others but you can get the same gains overall with one that you made yourself. just because he pays $600 dollars for a header instead of $200 doesn't mean he will gain much more on the same platform.

your entitled to your opinion thats fine but your asking me to post an impossible to find dyno to prove my point.

the standard benchmark of a header is the D C sports and there are certainly headers out there that will make huge gains over it but it requires a higher output engine. if your just going to say "on a stock motor" then yeah get whatever header you want but having a good/not so good header on a built motor will make or break the motor.

heres some different dynos

Yeah I agree. The larger or more modified engine is, the more hp difference a header will make. I was assuming you were talking with a straight stock engine because he hasn't told us any mods so I am assuming that it is a stock motor. with a stock motor they are all basically the same. When you have a built up motor then the flow of the air is a lot more crucial. like you are saying. all is good :D

Personally I think you could by almost any off-brand header for half price (or even less) than DC...most of those started as copies of the DC anyways. You can get 4-1 headers with 2.5" collector on Ebay now for barely $100 shipped. Get stainless ones though and avoid ones that are chromed.

not really. when you start hitting up the names you open your wallet more and more. off brand headers you have close to the same performance but you don't have the name. when you start tapping into greddy and all the larger named companies you will pay for the name.

if your trying to get something on the cheap look into the megan 4-1 ITR style headers, they go for $1xx and have a 2.5" collector.

as far as ebay headers i heard (heard not experianced) that they are built pretty shoddy and have some fitment issues.

oh and usually paying for a brand name mostly gets you very little performance, you get the performance from the big name custom builders.

not trying to steal this thread but, is it really worth 1000 dollars for a love fab turbo manifold and their high prices for the manifolds they make. I just happened to be browsing and noticed their high prices...i figure i would mention that here since it is related to headers.

they make an all motor header but its nothing special.

and to the question is it worth the money for the big name custom jobs well it depends on the rest of your motor usually. a big budget build with a crappy off the shelf header/turbo manifold will be less than stellar.
