Boosting on cast pistons just sounds like a bad idea. Might want to just go ahead and go with forged pistons and forged rods...

why not just order oversize oem pistons? You can get a set of gsr pistons it will bump your compression up to 9.5: 1 to 9.6:1 compression ratio in a ls motor. A stock motor supposely can handle up to 300 hp, but i'm not saying do it. I've done a stock boosted ls (customer's car), 230 hp tune. Lasted 2 years. Then he decided to up the boost well melted a hole in the piston.

I would put forged pistons, shot peen & recondition rod with arp rod bolts or get some forged rods.

I say just do it now, so later on they wont fail you. Forged Piston/Rod motor and call it day. If you got the cash, sleeve it too.

your words of wisdom i will follow lol i am having some customs sleeves made i have a guy who can make them cheap cheap he makes them for his race boats all the time so he going to take a spare block i have study it and make sleeves for it and we will see how they turn out and we might try and sell them  so ill have to keep everyone informed the sleeves would be like 250 bucks if that and you just bore your stock sleeves half way down and out and these press into the existing sleeves and you drill em out for the coolant great design imo so ill keep you guys posted on that note and for pistons and rods im going probe thanks to a great deal from a local vender got both rods and pistons for 450 bucks thanks to a wonderful sponsor first to use them in my area well see how they hold up under some boost and ill be running a eagle forged knife edged crank might take a while to get it all together but the process and madness will start soon thanks everyone for your awesome help
