stay with the b18b boosted. even if you boost the ls/vtec you will run into problems. either money or reliability. ls/vtec's have to be done flawlessly so there are no oil leaks. if you have a shop do it, you will run into some high $'s

I am doing a B20VTEC all-motor. However for the money I've spent you can make alot more power with a straight LS turbo. I'm a fan of all motor so I went that route, but if my B18B wasn't badly in need of a rebuild anyways I might have just tossed a turbo kit on it.

lemme tell you my $0.02, straight up. i own a GS-R and GS, and my best friend has 2 LS' and i can say honestly that i do not mind driving the LS at all. would it be all that much faster with a VTEC head? would it be all that worth compromising honda's trademark reliability? the bit of hp that you will gain is not worth compromising your reliability.

To do an Ls-Vtec correctly you'll spend a minimum of $800 for maybe 14.5 passes. Seen it done time and time again. But for the same amount of money you could throw a decent turbo setup in and still hold reliability and have a much faster car. Plus you get to hear the turbo spool
