I dont post here often, but I do get a lot of useful information from this site so I thought I would share the progress of my car and how it sits today. So here it goes

March 2007 - I bought the car just before moving into my new place with the Mrs. here are some pics of the day I brought it home.

mods are fairly obvious if you know about civics - It has a full front end conversion, the 99-00 front end ...the car had no radio/stock motor/stock interior/coilovers etc ...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
April/May of 2007 - traded the 17's for something smaller and lighter, I lowered it more, put integra seats in it/added a radio/changed the mirrors/and decided to buy some go fast parts that I got a great deal on.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
July 2007 - Before I got to install the turbo kit I was driving one day and my oil light came on ... wtf? So we did a compression/leak down test to find out that I have shitty compression and bad piston rings ... Sell the turbo kit/buy a DOHC B18b to replace the SOHC motor.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
August 2007 - I ran into a lot of problems getting the motor through customs, and the company I ordered the motor from was a bunch of asshats. either way got the motor put it in and good to go. Finally get the car running and get it on the road.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
September 2007 - I have nothing but bad luck, one of my brakes locks up and I have to replace it, I blow 4 different coolant hoses over the course of a month ... and I start leaking coolant and cant figure it out. I replace the headgasket and hoses but snap a bolt off in the head ... buy a new head and replace it ... car runs funny, do a valve adjustment twice before it fixes it.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
December 2007 - We take a trip to Orlando, we take the the hatch, late at night between exits my electrical system starts freaking out, headlights get brighter when I get above 3k RPM's and dim below 3k and my temp gauge starts bouncing with my RPMS's. we pull over to check it out, everythings fine, now the car wont start. We get it started and figure out that my electrical system is grounding out somewhere causing a problem, oh well.

Get to Orlando, blow the lower radiator hose the next morning. fix that. car does fine the rest of the trip. We get home 2 days later, and my passenger wheel starts making noises, and it feels like the car is dragging to that side. Find out it has a bad wheel bearing ... these are the most current pics of the car, they are from the trip.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
January 2008 - I buy the kia that I have now, and turn the hatch into a full project it sits with no wiring harness/ecu/battery/or intake on it so I can fix the electrical problems. But it gets broken into, bitches, but they dont take anything except my spoiler.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today - March 2008 - The car is now garage kept at my mother inlaws house. I have redone the harness and am in the process of doing a full wire tuck on the bay (no fuse box/battery etc ...)There is no front end on it so I can hide the wires. After that the wheel bearing needs to be fixed so I will be using it as an excuse to upgrade to Integra brakes. then it needs to get painted and tuned before it goes back on the road because one of my doors is now red.

This is the reason for needing a tune.

-May 2008 - Here are some new pics from this month. I finished removing the a/c parts and pulled the fuse box/battery harness and headlight harness through the firewall into the cabin. Now I need to remove the wires I will no longer be using (a/c and such) rewrap them and run them through the frame back up to the headlights. It's a lot of work, but I think it will be worth it in the end.

This side is next, also the zex kit is going to my brother so none of that will be in the car anymore.

As of today 5/14/2008 - it still just looks the same to the average person so I didnt see the need for pics.

New stuff.
- The new passenger door is on and the door handle and everything are installed, the door works great ... excepet the obvious that it is red and my car is black.

- ALL of the wiring has been rerun, it just needs to be wire loomed and connected.

- The shitty alarm that caused me so many problems has been removed

thats really about it.

------------------------------------------------

This Sunday I have big plans though

- I will be putting the batter back in the car (it will be going in the trunk - and there will be remote battery terminals in the bay)
- The wiring should be finished and all done
- I will be removing the charcoal canister from the car (dont ask it just makes the bay look better)
- Installing my new intake and intake manifold (skunk2 IM and a 2.5inch intake pipe)
- Installing my new nitrous setup
- Getting the car up on jackstands so that I can start putting the rear disc brakes on.
- Get the wheels prepped for paint (they are going to be done in white)
- I also ordered the parts to make my clutch line a braided stainless steel line instead of the hardline so I can hide it better

Ill try to get some new pics up on sunday for those who are interested.

Looks like your doing a wire tuck. Looks good so far. I've done some cars, it just alot of work. Charcoal canister is to absorbs vapors from the fuel tank so the tank pressure doesn't get too high. It is part of your emissions control system but won't affect your car performance wise.

keep up the good work

I have no clue why so many coolant hoses blew up - I think its because the car sat outside for so long and they were old, and it was just bad timing.

as for the wire tuck - yes that is my current project - the reason I put dont ask next to the charcoal canister is because a lot of people seem to ask why people remove it. the only question I have is what am I supposed to do with the line from the fuel tank to make sure my car doesnt smell like gas.

and while it was on the road with just the stock LS it was a lot of fun, I liked the torque over my brothers b16 del sol ...

and thanks for taking a look everyone
