I posted originally what im doing in the introductions page when I first joined. I picked up a B18B1 w/ PR3 pistons already on the rods, an Si tranny with a grind in 3rd, B series shift linkage, and axles for a sweet price of $250, plus 3 shots at the bar. Went to the salvage yard today and picked up a complete PR3 head and intake manifold for $125. So, Im up to $375. My goal is to have this fully built, running in my car (97 Civic ex) for under $800. I think im doing good so far. I will post pics up soon, I just haven't had the time with working all the time.

Question for the tech guys: I have a 95 B18b1 (no CFS on crank). To put this in my 97 civic will I have to get a Timing gear that slides on the crank, sensor, and lower timing cover off of a 96 and up? Or can I just get an obd1 dizzy and rewire the harness. Wiring doesn't scare me I put a complete OBD2 B16 in an 89 Crx dx before.

you can by pass the crank sensor at the ecu.

This is only if I keep it OBD2 though right?

Anywho, today started looking into everything a little more as to what I need. The cylinder head I got had 6 cam cap bolts busted off in the head. Kinda made me mad, fortunately one of my local buddies here had a bare B18 head. The best part, it was free. Also gave me the B20 power steering pump bracket so I can use it in my 97 civic.

I have 2 questions: The markings from the junkyard on my intake manifold says 96 integra. Im thinking its an older one though. It has an egr which from my researching I believe its from an automatic. Correct?
Second: What is this valve in the picture highlighted below. It was not on my intake when I got it and online doesnt list that number.

Here is where Im at now. Nothing much but soon enough it will be.

And this is what she will be going into:

Ok, so the highlighted valve I couldn't find is a Starting Air Valve (A/T only). So I don't need that or the EGR. Im guessing my 96 "marked intake" is really a 90 or 91. Maybe the six is supposed to be 0, who knows.

Sorry about the long wait with no updates. Ive been slowly gathering parts. So I started my build yesterday. Started tearing everything down when I realized that the bores in my block are at 81.2mm...?.... I noticed that when reading the piston ring end gap. Now shouldn't it either be 81 or 81.5mm for overbore? Just want to make sure before I order the proper rings.

Oh yeah, and I started installing my Arp rod bolts too. The first one I install i decide to remove the old rings and about an inch and a half of a ringland falls to the floor. Guess now I need a new piston too. At the rate this is all going, im just contemplating saying screw it, sell all this stuff off and just boost the single cam.
