where is the best place tofind an all motor basemap for a b18a/b i tried xenocron but couldnt find one close enough to mine

go to phearable.net...you list your mods and they give you a ecu with basemap, 2 step, CEL shift light...ive been running my b20 on it for over 6 months and i get 30mpg in my teg

how does the 2 step work and what is it? i dont know about lauch control and stuff, also i already got one from them i was just wondering if i could find a better one. i feel like my car should be faster than what it is also got a problem with the tach reading wrong.

a 2 step is launch control and it works off of your speedo. When the car is stopped, you put your foot all the way down on the accelerator and the rpm's will come up to a certian RPM and bounce off of that by the ecu using fuel cut. Once you let the clutch go and the speedo reads that your going, your foot is at WOT and you dont bog out becuase your car is at WOT. Once you play around with it you will get the hang of it.

k is 8900 rpms to hight for my build? this is what phearable.net set up for my car and i dont think its right? i have crower stage 2 cams, dh valvesprings and ret. and cam gears stock bottom end except for je 10.5 to 1 compression pistons.

yea 8900 is too high for it on a stock block...if you want, before ordering one, call them or email them and tell them your setup and see if they have a basemap for it, and what they recommend the settings for your motor (redline, shift light, 2 step)

yea i filled out all the stuff online when i ordered my ecu then i got it back and it revs to 8900 maybe the gave me a vtec basemap it that possible?

ok soi called phearable.net and they said i was chippedwith chrome and that the redline was 7300 and the rev limiter kicks in at 7000 so my tach must be wrong i new it was kinda wrong but not that bad also tried using an aftermarket one and got the same reading what can i do?

you have to tap into the tach wire directly from the dizzy to get the best reading

ok i will try that when i get another tachi took it back when it read the same lol but y do you think the stock one wrong it worked before the swap

could of been...usually your tach starts to go when the car is older and also because you are not getting a direct signal from the dizzy...that dizzy wire goes all the way to your ecu and then back out to your tach
