ok here is my current set-up:

stock b18a1, intake, header, converted dizzy and ecu to obd1. dynoed at 112hp and 111trq.


wats next:

picked up a 94 ls head and was gonna do mild port and polish, get some stage 1 cams and throw on some OBX itb's.

Wanted to know how much power gains can i expect from this????
and which cams should you guys recommend?

wats later:

upgrade fuel system and valve train......

any kind of advice and help would be much appreciated!

It dyno'd at 112 hp and you wanna put ITB's on it? You might want to find out why you dyno'd so low before you mod it. Torque even seems low for an LS... My buddy made 140/128 on a stock LS with I/H/E... his was a 92 with 100K or so miles.

Its obvious you're not going turbo with the mention of ITB's so aside from aesthetics a fuel system upgrade will not benefit you. I'm not saying don't do it, just saying it'll be overkill. I assume you mean blingy fuel rail, SS lines, AN fittings, injectors and shit when you say upgrade or do you just mean fuel rail and larger injectors?

With that said, determine why your engines output is soo low before sinking money into shit you don't need.

You're not going to gain anything from ITB's. I doubt even on a higher compression motor ITB's will benefit an LS. I'm not mistaken ITB's are made for high end power...

Final opinion... determine why power is low, fix that issue then UP the compression in the 11:1 or so range, then fuel system/injectors and possibly ITB's... it takes a damn good tuner to tune ITB's FYI. I also hear they're not meant for daily driving...

Lol @ no gain from ITB's on a Ls.I think you should do a stock rebuild to fresh up the motor.Since its like 18years old,then save money upgrade valvetrain.Then get some crower 404s upgrade pistons ,bigger injectors.And go from there Im guessing the low power output comes from tired motor

You think he'll gain power by adding ITB's to the engine with low compression , bigger cams and high mileage? Ok ya sure he might... but to take advantage of the ITB's it will have to be revved much higher than a stock LS can.

I could be wrong, I just don't see the reason to put ITB's on an LS...

thanx for DA advice 4sd4dr...but yo potnas motor might jus be gifted??? well i basically got a 91 b18a1 i/h/stock cat, stock piping, and stock exhaust. 4got to mention i'm gonna upgrade my exhaust before any of the above mentioned. and oh yeah, my block surely has bout 200,000-250,000 miles. dont know exactly tho....but its alot. but i will surely get it checked out on why DA power output is so low......i jus kept thinkin its an old motor. but thanx! appreciate it!
