if it is completely stock and is an LS then it is the B18B1 which is non vtec. all integra's are 1.8L. if it was me i would take my $7,000 and buy something else.

i was thinkin the same thing. the only thing not stock about it is the original ownwer ordered leather when he bought it so its got factory gray leather seats...somebody told me theres weight differences and the rs is the lightest...im wondering is the ls the heaviest? o and i just came back from driving an 01 prelude sh wit 75k also bone stock...this i would much rather get even tho it means another 2gs but the friggin guy owes on the loan and doesnt have the title

that is not how it would have been but technically its still stock even though its got the leather seats because it came from the factory like that, if i understood correctly what you said. the rs is the lightest.

Sounds like a decent price considering the way integra prices are around here. I'm seeing 98/99 LS integras going for 11k or higher sometimes with 80k+ on the odometer. Integra prices have gotten insane lately.

I moved this to lounge b/c it doesn't belong in B-series engine chat....Anyway, I mean you have to look at the car good. Check belts, hoses, fluids,etc...small things like that can sometimes indicate how the car was maintained. If you aren't that knowledgeable about cars( nothing wrong with it, everybody ahs to learn) most mechanics will look over a car pre-purchase for you for a small fee or sometimes free...

Slammedciv-I got your pm

in my opinion any body that would pay $11,000 for an integra LS is out of their mind. second i would buy something different with $7,000 there are plenty of other things that you could find. no matter what you do check and see if the timing belt and water pump have been replaced. if not then still for $7,000 its not bad but if it has then you have basically a steal. i know shops around here charge about $800-$1,000 to change the water pump and timing belt. if you have friends that could do it or if you could then it would not be bad either then. you should check ball joints, wheel bearings, brake pads and the whole braking system. ask about the clutch. ask how hard it had been driven. ask why they are selling the car. you should lay on the ground and look at the frame. you go to the hatch and pop off the middle plastic piece and check the welds out and stuff to see if it has been wrecked. make sure you do the same to the front of the car too. check the gaps between all fenders and hood. if it is untouched then they will be completely even. if they are not i would ask about it. second you should open the doors and lay on your side or back and look up under the dash for rust. it would be easier to do this from the drivers side. if there is any rust around the radio or fuse panel or below the speedometer and tach then that usually is a sign of flood damage. deff do a carfax but even though it comes back perfect do not just go by what it says. its not always true so no matter what make sure you check all of that. and hear is 1 of my biggest determining factors as common courtesy you should ask the owner first about checking it out real well. if they refuse to let even check 1 thing then i say forget about that car. some guys will offer to take the car to a shop of your choice to have a mechanic check it over. if they do that chances are its in excellent shape all around.

This all depends on what you are personally looking for. If you want to buy a car that already has a good amount of power then I would tell you to forget this car. For 7k you can get faster cars. That is a good deal and if you are looking for a car that is clean and will last you a long time then go for it. If you plan to modify the car then you will be spending more on an ls to make it as fast as a gsr or type-r. Just tell us what you are looking for in the sense of modifications, speed, price, etc. and we can help a lot more to point you in the right direction.

Some people buy horsepower while others build it. I get so sick of people telling me how my car is "slow" or whatever. I wouldn't have bought a 1.8L n/a nonvtec 4 cylinder if I truly wanted to go THAT fast  . I love my integra for EVERYTHING about it,and I plan on going FASTER than stock, but I'm not looking for a drag racer, or racecar. Its the total expereince of driving it. The way it handles around corners, the way it sounds, responds, looks,etc...

just because it looks clean does not mean there has been nothing happen to it. around here the mountains of NC there are plenty of cars that have came up from the floods in Lousiana and Missippi and even floods here in the mountains and they look brand new but if you look them over real good you can find at least 10 signs that it was in a flood or wrecked. so you can not always go buy how clean a car looks.
