Hey Everyone, This is Fred the new owner of this site. Also a nonvtec enthusiast  . I currently have a 97 civic hatch ready for modding this summer. Had a 2jz NA sc but then crashed it. Decided to go nonvtec after seeing these gas prices.

Anyways, I am taking suggestions on how to improve this site. I will collect all suggestions in two weeks and will pick the top 3 and start working on them. Any new suggestions are appreciated. Big props the mods for helping this community stay up.

I believe users and increasing their activity should be at the top of any small websites list of to-do's.

True, there are a few ways to do this
1) contests to increase activity
2) fast response (the larger the user base the faster the response)
3) social networking, ex cardomain, myspace, etc.
4) search engine marketing to increase unique visitors

I think that 3 and 4 are the easiest to do and bring more eyes to this website

Since you have no info in your profile.....
Tell us a little about yourself, where you live, how you came to take over from Nathan, etc.... I agree with you about Non-VTEC helping with gas prices....I would HATE to have to buy super these days! :!:   BTW, I'm running an almost stock '98 LS Integra for DD & my "project" is an LS swapped '88 CRX ftw....

1.how about feedback for seller, like they do on ebay..to make sure they aren't scammer.

2. reps points or bar to users to show how active they are on site. Reps point should be giving if they help out another member or can be taken away if they bash on members.

3. Give away free decal, all member have do is pay for shipping fee. This can also help attract more members.

4. dyno section where member can post dyno results

5. i know i can see sponsors, but what if a member want to advertise his shop. On other site i'm at they have a section for shop where member need help or need parts and can post in that section.

I'm about to open a shop and I wouldn't mind helping out, help member get parts..etc...

Nice to meet you Fred. I'm Hicks and I tend to be a bit of a smart ass, but if you're around long enough you'll see it. I have a buddy that lives in Cali. Where are you located?

Well, Brian (4sddr) and I are two of the oldest still active members, I've been on nonvtec less than a month after it was created by Nathan. My 'toys' are my 00 Integra GS (stock LS,bolt on),1991 CRX Si (LS swap, SIR-G LSD trans, heh,...) and my 1987 CRX HF (b16 in the garage ,just waiting ... ).

I think one thing that really appeals to me is working with some part suppliers? Thats the ONLY reason I ever joined Honda-tech,...But I ended up posting here and there on the forums. Just a thought.

Good luck sir!

Some more suggestions, something I brought up to Nathan...

a. restrict access to the classifieds sections. members must have at least 20 posts before being able to post in there. They can browse, but not post.

b. seeing the bots being logged in is annoying, I would like to disable that.
