ok so im a kid trapped in a adults body. i love rc stuff. i compete fairly often in rc nitro and electric off road races. i race 1\10 scale stadium truck with a team asscociated rc10 t4 with lipo and brushless , i also race with a 1\8 scale 4wd nitro monster truck.

now i am trying my hand with heli's this is a eflite blade cx pro it has 2 modes normal flight and stunt. this heli out of the box can do inverted flights and any other areobatic moves aslong as the person controlling it knows how to.. me i suck with this thing but i did pull off a 30 second hover 5 inches off the ground with in 5 minutes of my first time powering it. yes it has the trainer gear on it but thats needed. the highest ive got off the ground is about a foot but almost lost control..

i will find some videos online and post the links so you guys can see what this lil thing can do..

ya start off with the sim.. real flight g3.. 200 bucks. im getting mine thursday or friday when i get my external 80 gig hard drive cuz this program takes up almost 4 gigs.. but all the heli guys say that they get the basics down with the sim and then when you fly the real thing, you only crash when you get stupid or a part fails.. all in all for the heli and a extra set of main blades , with train gearing and the foam wing clip for storage i spent just under 335.. and unless your really commited to learn to fly them, dont get one this advanced. get a simple one that has fewer inputs..

well shes been crashed. i was doing pretty good holding her steady about 6in off the ground and bam out of no where this huge gust of wind came and pushed her into the front drivers side tire of the mustang..i got extra blades at the hobby shop earlyer, but i think the main rotorshaft is bent, its got alittle vibration around 65% throttle. egh time for some aluminum parts. im going to get pics of her flying but it wont be anything impressive for awhile. i got a feeling its going to take me atlest a month to get to where i have full comfortable control of the heli..

well today is the first day that the training gear left the ground. still no crash but i know its well on its way. im in the early stages hovering. each day the confidence grows and i get less twitchy with the control inputs. its very hard, but well worth it to see the heli knee high just sitting there.i cant wait for forward flight. then maybe one day inverted flight.

here is a video of what this heli can do out of the box..

planes are easy, mistakes can be fixed by adding throttle or pulling up or both. heli's on the other hand you got 2 sticks doing 6 things, the left stick works throttle and the tail rotor to swing the tail around and the left stick controls the 4 different functions of the main blades. heli's are very complicated but once you learn to fly the tail. wich means keep the tail pointed at you. its a cake walk. hardest thing for me is is the slightest input on the sticks can make a big change in flight..real flight g3.5 is tha shit. i can already do inverted stuff but really have a hard time controlling it...by hell after 3 days and im starting to hover i cant wait to see what im doing by the end of next month..

plus it doesnt help to start off with a heli that is NEVER NEVER EVER MENT TO BE A TRAINER. but i pick stuff like this up fairly quickly, and when the average cost for a entry level rc heli is around 200 and i would be bored with it inside of a week. id rather get something that is able to do stuff that takes years on top of years to learn..my next heli is a trex se with carbon aluminum parts.. easyer to fly due to the size and hell of alot more power on tap..
