OK i am stumped. i have a pr4 head that is ported and polished and has new valve springs and retainers. that i have a little bit of money in to. i threw a rod in my a1 block and was thinking of putting in on an b18c block. can this be done??? what head gasket would i need, ex...?? or should i just build a A1 B1 block, i know my ys1 LSD trans will bolt up to any b motor.
i am looking to run 8000 RPM'S or so.
i guess i am asking will a non vtec head fit a vtec block?? i know people that have put vtec heads on non vtec blocks. what parts and pieces will need??
thanks for your help

get an LS block and just bump the compression. its gunna be way cheaper than finding a damn vtec block cuz everyone has hard on for them and thinks they are worth so much $$$$$$

OK i crossed over to a Vtec. i got a b18c from japan. the price was really good and it was the hole engine, harness, computer, ex. i hope you guys know i race every weekend. so the motor got really abused. the vtec will too. the b18a1 will be going back together as a stock rebuild. that will be my back up when i b18c breaks. (i hope not) i do have to say you guys on this site are super smart, and thanks for all the help, during my build.

Hey there are a few of us on here that have Vtec. Sadly my head is still at the machine shop getting new valve seats (long story). For now I am rocking the P75 head. Good choice on the GSR motor, take care of it and it will last.
