All i want to know is what you used to get the head clean. I wish my whole engine looked half as good as that.

SICK! Keep us updated, my 270whp stock LS setup will be undergoing surgery soon. I still want to keep stock sleeves and boost the flackin A out of it!

Thanks for the Comments guys,

-The 1.8T badge is from a VW

- I used Foamy Brite, Brake Cleaner, purple power, and simple green with a plastic brush to clean the big chunks out of the head. After that I had the rest cleaned off at a machine shop in a hot tank.

Updates Soon

Here are some updates. I had one block and crank I was going to send out for sleeving, but then I came across this motor from a friend and tore it down to see what I got. I must say I was extremely happy. The motor was bone stock and in mint condition. The block went out tuesday to Benson. Here are the pics

That is 150 feet of insulation wrapped around the motor. It comes out to be about 4 inches of padding all the way around it.

E85 is 105 octane!! I am going to use it for my street pump gas. I plan on running VP116 on a separate future tune for the track.

I heard that you have to tune the E85 to a richer A/F ration because the alcohol behaves differently....I dont tune at all but I have read a little on it.

Stoich of gas is 14.7 or lambda 1 and stoich for E85 is 9.7 or lambda 1. In reality you are tuning for the same Lambda value in boost which is around .78. Since stoich for E85 is a much lower number for lambda 1 it is much richer. So basiacally the lambda value is very similar that you are tuning for, but the A/f ratio seems to be richer since you need more E85 to reach that number.

I hope this is clear.

Well here are some updates pics of the interior. It is nothing crazy, just clean and functional. I plan to add a 10 point cage, racing seat, 5 point harness, and quick release steering wheel within the next year, but this is good for now.

Well here are some last updates of what has already been done. Nothing to exciting, just putting the LSD in the trans. This thread is now up to date with the actual status of the car. I hope to make some progress soon here, I have just been so busy tuning other cars and getting adams running.

I also cant say enough about the Precision 1000's. They were so sensitive, and when mixed with a great/lucky basemap I made with the proper injector offsets they un AMAZING. I can honestl say they were some of the easiest injectors I have ever used.

On with the pics,

Well thats it, Im getting ready now to go clean up the garage a bit and start getting ready to build a mock up motor to install. Updates soon I hope

Here are some updates from last night, we installed 1000's in Adams car and got those running, then I built my motor today............................or at least a mock up motor.

We also changed some silicone couplers on adams car to hold the now increased pressure levels.

*Note, that is just an extra valve cover that I got with a head I bought. I hate the way it looks which is why it is on my mock motor.

Well here are some updates, they are not my car but it is E85 powered!!!! I dont know exactly how many E85 powered Honda's are out now, but this has to be one of the first.

It took a little bit of work to figure it all out, but we are making great progress, with some great basemap work ;) , it fired right up and was soon running like a champ.

We here are some pics, we will be on the Dyno with it Wed to see what it does.

I should also have some videos of it up later.
