I am trying to figure out where this connector connects to?

could be the trans connector, i really dont know what else it could be, what kinda car is it?

It is a 94 civic ex, but that wire is from the engine harness which is out of a 96+ integra ls. I have another plug on that same line that is blue in the middle which looks like it hooks up to the tranny plug.

^ thats what i was thinking, look at your transmission on the left side there should be part of the harness that clips into the vehicle speed sensor...easy way to tell is start your car (if u can right now) and drive it a lil and see if your spedo is working

my speedo is working, but one thing that is not really working is my tach. It seems to be off, when the car sounds like it is at redline the tach shows it is only at 6k. It is a stock ex civic tach.

most tachs are off between 500-1000 rpms

so it wasn't the vss harness? are you using the ej1 harness or the b18b1 harness?
