i'm not sure if it works but i do it anyway. but i heard on a BESTMOTORING video, Type-R Legend, the founder of Spoon Sports said he puts a band clamp around the oil filter to prevent expansion and loss of pressure due to heat. does anyone know this to be true. i was kind of hoping some one could test it. but you'll need a oil press. gauge.

It might work but the gain can't be much at all. They really don't loose that much oil pressure from expansion because the expansion is so minimal. The longer you run it the better the pressure will stay if you have a clamp but if you change your oil every 3k miles then you won't notice much of anything.

yea i realize it won't be a huge help and it is normally used for endurance racing on much higher powered cars than mine but the idea is good so i'll do it anyway. i guess it won't hurt at all. besides i only use honda original oil filters and the band clamp makes it a bit easier to remove the filter.
