Anyone know where one could find the specs for the P8R head? My valves need adjustment and I can't find the info.

Thanks

Factory spec for the B18B and B20B/Z are:

Intake: 0.003"-0.005"
Exhaust: 0.006"-0.008"

Here are the specs for a standard B20B and B20Z P75 head. The cams that come in that head are the same as the B20B. The exhaust cams are the same on the B18B, B20B, and B20Z. The B20Z and B18B both have the same intake cams which has a little more lift than the B20B.

Thanks for the reply.

I searched and I found the same results. Do you think they would be the same for a JDM B20B9 with a P8R head? It comes from a 99 JDM SM-X.

Very little info on the P8R...everything is on the P75.

It turns out that that engine is from a 1997- 2001 russian CR-V RVI.
I did a search and came up with the intake valve part number 14711-PR4-A00
and exhaust valve pn #14721-PH3-000 from this site

I think if you follow those part #'s youll find something out. There is really very little info on the b20b9

It shares the same valves as the taiwanese D18A. Check it

So yes the p8r and p75 intake and exhaust valve adjustment specs are the same.

I initially got the same Russian results. Everything pointed to the Russian CRV's. However, when I chose the motor at the importer shop it still had all the intake hardware and it was unlike any CRV hardware. It came with the giraffe IM, but it also had a funky intake box mounted on top of the valve cover.

I checked various years of CRV's and didn't find any of the same parts. Then I saw an engine bay of an SMX and found a familiar sight. Maybe the Russians had them, too?

This was right after I got it:

You'll notice the intake piping is the same. I don't have the air filter box anymore, but you can still see the tall dip stick and tall IM.

This is the SMX:

It started off a little dirty, but it cleaned up nice.

Thanks for your help.

I have always read that the P8r head is/was only sold on cars from japan. That was it. about 3% of the B20s had these engine heads on them.
