 Post subject: park neutral switch?

With my civic I did switch my tranny from an automatic to manual transmission. I still have my park neutral switch in the car in order to start it. I heard that it actually sends voltage to the ecu. Right now I have a manual ecu and i don't know if the park neutral switch is grounding out my ecu, in turn giving me horrible gas mileage.

IF YOU HAVE A MANUAL COMPUTER THE ONLY SWITCH IT NEEDS TO START IS THE CLUTCH INTERLOCK SWITCH.(AND RELAYS).. A MANUAL COMPUTER WORKS DIFFERENTLY FROM AN AUTOMATIC POOR GASS MILEAGE, FAILING EMISSIONS EGUIPMENT,COIL PLUGS AND WIRES.. ALSO THE WAY YOU DRIVE THE CAR HAS A LOT TO DO WITH IT.. AND YOU AREN'T GOING TO GET THE MILAGE THAT YOU GO WITH AN AUTO TRANNY..

My car was original an automatic car, but I made it manual. The park neutral switch is still in my car which is wat I use to start the car. I was getting about 160 to the tank about 16-17 mpg with a b18b1 and manual p75. When I had the lsvtec with the stock automatic p28 that came with the car I was getting 240 per tank about 24-25 mpg. What I am trying to figure out is if the park neutral switch actually sends voltage to the ecu?

IF YOU CAN GET THE WIRING DIAGRAM FOR YOUR CAR AND YOU TRACE THE STARING CIRCUIT FOR A MANUAL TRANNY YOU WILL SEE THAT THERE IS NO PARK NEUTRAL SWITH. THERE IS 1 TO 2 STARTER RELAYS THAT WORK TOGETHER MY CAR ONLY HAS 1.. SPARK COMES FROM BATTERY THROUGHT STARTER INTO RELAY NO#1..THIS IS FOR A MANUAL TRANNY NOW IF IT'S AN AUTOMATIC THE VOLTAGE GOES THROUGHT STARTER INTO PARK NEUTRAL SWITCH THAT WORKS WITH STARTER RELAY NO1..LOOKING AT THE DIAGRAM NOW INFRONT OF ME YOU SHOULD CUT THOSE WIRES OUT BECAUSE THERE NO LONGER NEEDED.. AS FOR AFFECTING YOU GASS MILEAGE I CAN'T SEE THIS BEING THE REASON..
