ok so i hate getting ripped off more then anything.so what is a good price for used parts. when i say used parts i mean, stock pistons, aftermarket pistons, connecting rods.internal parts only. ive come across what i think is a f*cking good deal. used pr3 pistons 4 of them for a franklin . here is what concerns me, the guy said that they came out of a blown motor. doesnt know why or how it blew but it blew.i am building my first motor, and i dont know what to check for when i go look at them. i mean if there is a valve head stuck in one. im gonna slap the dude and drive off. but the smaller hard to tell stuff i have no clue about.

I haven't seen anything larger than a $10 lately, but I seem to remember a Franklin being $100? If so, skip that "deal". You will have to buy new rings for sure and that will run you at least another $50. You can buy brand new pistons in several compression ratios with new rings and pins for $149 from RS Machines.

an update about the pr3 pistons. i think there oversized pr3 pistons. but i emailed the guy cuz i went back and reread the ad and it includes brand new pr3 pistons and hastings rings to fit the pistons..i think im going to try and pick these up
