it appears my radiator has little life left, so my question is where the best place would be to get a replacement. I am jsut getting a stocker because its all i can afford. I heard CAP would be the cheapest way as far as a new one would go. any ideas let me know. thnx all

My friend got a dual core on his EG. Seems to work fine, nice and cheap of ebay. Even a good radiator is not that much money plus they are really easy to install.

What did you end up doing?

eBay is a great place to source things, it gets bad reps b/c of so-called "ebay parts" meaning no-name brand SHIT,and bad sellers, just make sure they have good feedback

I've seen ebay radiotors work perfectly fine. If everything is put together correctly, which is not hard to do at all, everything should work out for a good while. I had to replace my radiator back when i first bought my old ls. i went with a real cheap one from napa or somethin. i didn't know about the ebay ones back then but i would have gone with that just to save a little bit of money.

i already got my radiator, but if i end up building a motor i would get a better flowing one. right now i just need to get it done so i do not need to worry about blowing this already bad one. Jack stand, where do you people put yours to hold up the car?

I usually jack the car up with the front tow hook or front cross member, so i can place the jack stands under the front jack points.

Also to state the obvious: Be very careful to pick a solid spot to jack from if its not the tow hook, so the car doesnt slip off the jack.

the way i do it is i jack it up on the front cross member then i put the jack stands under the jacking points. that is honestly about the best place to put jack stands on our cars.

On my civic it only took a little over a half gallon to fill it up after replacing the radiator. And a touch more to bleed it. One gallon should be all you need max.
