ok well i searched everywhere and i couldn't find the answer i'm looking for.i'm planning on upgrading my stock ls rod bolts to arp bolts. so my question is how hard is this to do? is it something i can do at home? some people told me that i would have to take my rods to a machine shop to get them installed.

Its not that hard, provided you have the tools. You can drop your oil pan set your engine to the dead center, and access your rod bolts from under your engine. From there you can replace them by rotating the engine to each rod.
