First off im going to rebuild my engine in Jan. Can a Bore the stock sleeves over like 2 thousandths? If not Where can i get it sleeved at and prices? Im rebuilding for boost. I dont want more than 300-350hp. I have a B18B1 With 197k never been rebuild.

I think a rebuild is cheaper than a new engine. :D

Im not gonna replace Valves, springs ETC. Just Lower end.

If you are trying to reach the 300hp mark you are going to need considerable boost. For this you will need to get it sleeved. Where are you located? This will determine where to send it for sleeving. You also will need to do head work. Lighter valves, better springs retainers. Stock cams are ok for boost though. There are a lot of things to consider when doing this.

How much boost are you wanting to run and how much money are you willing to spend?

I was wanting to know can i bore it out and be ok with 8-12psi boost.

If i resleeve im going to shoot for 400hp.

I live in southern WV.

Im Not boosting on a budget. I want to do like 230hp on stock valves. Ill do head work later, as time progresses.

I know a few boosted LS' who have made 300 and were relatively stock with the exception of OBD conversion (OBD0 to OBD1) and ARP headstuds.

Anyway... if you don't resleeve you want 300? At the wheel? I'd just say a complete rebuild of the bottom end with forged pistons/rods, new rings, bearings and gaskets and you'd be set. Valve train is pretty mandatory at least in my opinion. At the very least, springs/retainers from Supertech or Crower and you're set.

Keep in mind tuning (ems and the actual tuner) and fuel system (pump and injectors.) play a large role in the engines ability to make power.

Hondata is a good choice. As far as injectors, pretty sure the LS' I mentioned above were on either dsm 450's or RC 550's. I can't remember.

I've seen 350 whp stock LS block on boost. No need to sleeve the block for 300 whp.
