new to this site and too hondas well been workin on them for a few years, but anyway, i love biulding smallblock chevys so i thought of giving these small honda a try, and seems to be workin out pretty good, not listing alot of tips i have up my sleeves, but willing to give alot of tips and pointers that people dpnt realize in engine biulding, but anyway, im biulding a b20b4, calling it the B20SB, stock head, cams, intake manifold, stock block, motor has been rebiult with custom pston 12.0:1 compression, and a few tips within the block to decrease friction as much, you can turn the assembled short block with you hand, anyway in a 2700lbs acura integra 90' with alot of traction problems after the 60ft it runs 8.9s', lookin to improve looking for all the support from ppl on the site that loves racing and these nonvtec engine and what they can really be made of, will keep you all updated on the improvements

what kind of injectors/cc are you running? With that high cr, you might be maxing out the stock injectors. You can even be running lean. If you had traction problem try usng drag radial or slicks. Try using a traction control bar.

im running 450cc injectors, and i made my own custom fuel pressure regulator, well i biuld my own race engines and im about to start a business biulding others for friends and yadda yadda, well everything else on the motor is stock - head, cams, intake, tb, ecu. everything but the custom pistons, most of the power comes from the block assembly, im into biulding efficient engine to increase power, anywho i put in a FX500 system from clutch masters and fidanza flywheel, and i had to make a new header b/c the other was cracked really bad, and kinda hurt the motor, and with the traction problems i understand the use of radials and slicks but im a driver thats just me, the new clutch anf flywheel the car performance seems to be in the mid 13 sec range and to note that this is still pretty much a stock motor besides the custom pistons, i'll put a few pics up if i can find any, i got one of the car and the inside of the block

oh im not tunind with anything, stock ecu stock cam gears, im mostly finding my power inside the engine block , strength, rigity, decreasing friction ( bearings, filed piston rings ect). decreasing windage, can make a lil more power but the gains i have on torque is great, never had the car on a dyno, i plan to one day but its not important to me, as long as the car get down the track as quick as possible thats the goal, track times not dyno numbers, goal for my next few passes are 8.5's @ 82mph and mid 13's in the 1/4 on street tires

soon will i port the head, custom cams, better header design, intake manifold and drag radials, and two stages of nitrous

and this is the block with a detergent wash i do to keep oil from off the crank, connecting rods, and block and decrease widage by a lil but the more oil you keep off the crank shaft the more free power you're able to make, the block and journals keep a mirror like shine, i also had polymer coated steel backing main bearings and tri-metal rod bearings with arp rod bolts, and a factory trust bearings that i have modified and coated, also the rings have been filed to the honed cyl bore for further friction losses, the block also has been half filled with a block filler to add extra strength and cooling to the bottom area of the stock sleeves, next i will add a block girdle, and block gaurd, i plan to make a new custom set of pistons and rods to change the rod/stroke ratio and work to reshape my combustion chamber with flat-top pistons

what are u fussin about, i have piston made for 12.0:1 compression but with a 0.043 think head gasket its like 11.4, anyway , no the car is'nt tuned, im stating the performance it does w/o being tuned, the car runs high to mid 13's and has'nt been tuned, i was plan on having phantasm in raliegh nc to tune the car but of course it would be faster tuned or quicker with drag radials or slicks, i want to biuld a street tire car for the time being and see how quick i can go untuned, if any oppose oh well, i got my plans and opinions, i spend my time and money how i want, if i get it done i do if i dont i dont

Chill out buddy. Most people call bsing if they don't believe. I'm not putting no one down or you. Some people want proof in order for them to believe. Post some time slips and when you get your car tune post the dyno numbers too.

you want oem block girdle, so you can machine it to work. I do have a gsr one if your intrested. Why not buy a z10, or golden eagle one girdle, where all you have do is machine the dowel pin location on the main caps.
