heres a stock motor comparing stock cams with boltons to 403'and bolt ons
heres his built motor comparing different bolt ons 403's to 405's with the same bolt ons
so you can see adding 403's gives a nice gain over 6k and extend the powerband with minimal loss below that. 405's provide pretty good gains over 6k compared to the 403's and really extend the powerband a good amount with a total peak gain of ~ 20hp
i would expect the 404's to fall right in the middle of those 2 (~10hp more than the 403's but 10hp less than the 405's) making them the best choice IMHO for a street car as it gives you a good blend of power below 6k and good topend too.
so you can compare powerbands heres a graph (dynojet 248c wich reads ~%10 less than churches dynapack i would expect ~204hp with my motor on churches dyno) with a b20 with 404's
