Hows it going everyone. Im currently driving 97 civic ex with a d16y8. Im tired of this motor. Ive had her for 100k. Im picking up tomorrow a B18b shortblock with some p30 pistons. Axles, B-series shift linkage, and a 00 Si tranny (with a grind in 3rd) for the sweet price of $250 plus 3 shots at the bar. Ill be picking up an ls head and attempt my first P and P. These heads are cheap enough, why not. So my goal is to make this a fun car. Well, better then what I got now. And to keep this full swap costing less than $800. I want to get cams, springs, and retainers as well. I already have a chipped P06 at home, so that helps out cash wise.

Welcome to the site. It seems like you are on the right track. An all motor B18b will feel like night and day compared to your stock d16. Just get some good brakes like Axxis Ultimates so you wont be changing your pads every three months like I did.
