i just swapped my used D15B7 for a re-build now that i have it running b4 i do a h22a swap i want to get some power out this B7 dose any one know where to start i want to go v-tec but dose any one know where i can find a v-tec head and what are my options as far as heads go i know i can do a z6 an y8 but are there any other options... im lookin to pull about 300hp out of this motor so any help on how to get their is welcome thanks

if your going to swap it later go cheap thares no reson to spend big bucks on a motor your just going to pull out later the money you'll spend to make that 300hp would be better put aside for that h22 but in the meen time

a d16z6 head off a 92-95 civic ex,si will work good
a d15b head is the same a a d16z6 it just has a little hotter cam
a d15z1 head is a e-vtec and has a diff. lifter setup
a d16y8 head is the best bet for power but needs some obd2 parts but it will make more comp.
a d17 head is no good for much of notting it has a vtec3 but well not work on d15/d16 becouse the oil flows diff. and cant move as much air

id say a d16z6 head is your best bet its cheap its obd1 and it can make power
