How do I calibrate the stock tachometer so that it matches the engine speed? I feel that is the problem I am having from my previous post (b18b1 cutting out). It is 6k rpms, but the engine sounds like rev limit (you can hear it and plus it cuts out around there).

u really cant, just buy a new one

if its obd1 and you want a higher rev limit get it chipped to what ever limit you want. if you think its off you can take it to a dyno where u can see what rpm your at and get your car tuned at the same time.

the only way to trully know what your rpm is, get a aftermarket tach and wire the tach wire straight from the distributor
