Doesn't the stock crank pulley act as a harmonic balancer

You can get underdrive pulleys for your ac and ps pulleys but I would stick with the oem crank pulley.

What part of PA are you from?
I had underdrive pulleys in my old ls an didn't notice a difference. It shaves a couple pounds but nothing great. The crank pulley is a very important part and would stick witht he reliability of oem.

because the crank pulley, which also acts as a harmonic balancer, if you fit an aftermarket underdrive pulley, it sends everything out of wack because its lighter. an OEM crank pulley is weighted for a reason.

I'm originally from around there. Mainly the Gettysburg and Mechanicsburg area. Was just up there this weekend actually. ls-vtec's can make that kind of power fairly easy if you have the right cams. If you do an all ls build then you will need at least high compression pistons and some heavy cams to get there. B16 tranny's are really short. I have never swapped out a 5th gear so I don't know how much fun that is.
