i think skunk2's are relatively cheap.

the skunks 2's that i had on my old gsr rode great. they were stiff but not teeth-chattering stiff. i think they drop more about 2 - 2 1/2 inches.

just get a good shock with a coilover sleeve setup

i would go with tokico shocks and/or skunk2/ground control coilover sleeves
