Port and polished, three angle valve job, decked b16 head. Skunk valvetrain, springs retainers flat faced valve stems. When i pulled the head off my block I noticed rust spots in cylinder 4 and some scoring throughout. I had the motor sitting for 2 weeks before I pulled the head. I plan to get good cams and cam gears. I need help on building a block. I would like to keep it a sleeper. Should I build my B16a block or should I go B20 block? What components do you recommend? I want a street/track daily driver. I'm shooting for 230 to 300 HP all motor. Thanks.

if your looking for some serious trq i would recommend the b20 block i actually have a built one for sale!! lol must be your lucky day!!!

if u build your b16 it will have more top end than an all motor b20 if u wont torque and 230hp than i take it u are going cr/vtec because there is no way your going to get that much hp on an ls or b20 all motor without either vtec or ha ha juice it lookes like u wanting to go cr/vtec which will get u in the 200ish hp and alot of torque so get some pistons to bump up your compression and a set of nice cams with that vtec should be a nice ride that is my 2 cents but just remember this a non vtec forum ha ha ha

yeah vtec should be a forbidden word on here!! lol

i have both motors...a b20/vtec and a b16... go with the b20/vtec...so much more torque...mine is a stock bottom end and i make good power till 9K
