the SC looks neat, but that's about it . . . I would either go high compression (12-12.5:1) NA or turbo

I don't know that thing looks pretty sick already. You could buy an oldschool JRSC keep your motor and put it on a high boost diet  But then you are not non vtec.

no no no look, for a DA to have a sc it required some much crap to be done. like moving the vaccum booster. over. but all this guy did was move some shit and loose power steer. if you have a sc who the hell cares about power steering. yank my shit right on out.

so i mean id have to move the same stuff. to get the b18b kit to fit. and i mean the b18a and b18b are the same damn motor. so one could assume that it bolt right on up. just convert to obd1 wich is also what im in the process of doing.

I am here to tell you that you DO NOT want to put a centrifical supercharger ( Vortec, ect)on your car. These are belt driven turbos. The reason that a person runs a SC on a Honda is to gain low end torque and have a linear, usable powerband ( me for example). Some one like LSThatch with a jumbo turbo makes huge amounts of top end power and is great for drag racing and killing Dodge Vipers on the freeway. A centrifical supercharger has bad lowend gain and is limiting up top. These type of SCs are good for V8s cause the V8 already has it's own lowend torque, where as we have none. You will see higher peak HP numbers than a JR (Roots style), but your powerband will be peaky and not very usable. There is a good writeup on this in the Supercharger forum at superhonda.com. For the money that you will spend on this Vortec kit you could make a turbo car that would make you TONS happier. Or..you could make a JRSC car that makes 195 whp and 165 ft/lb. Do what you want but do the research first to see if that is what you want. Remember...it is about powerband...not peak numbers.

oh i know and nmost of it for me is that i want a car that is super charged. ive bene thinking about boosting instead of going na. but i dont know there is something about turboing my car that doesnt sit right with me..to much stuff. and honestly if you look at the real honda race cars there not turboed unless there a drag only car. there all motor. im think i might do something to my current motor. cams intake manni and a couple of other things. and build my spare motor to handle boost so that way there isnt really anything that could go wrong. also i do research extensivley before i do upgrades
