Using stock suspension, how can I tighten up the sway bar to keep the car from taking a dive in a corner. Car is 91 teg

I've heard that pulling the swaybar bushing bolt out and shortening 1 side will help. Has anyone else done this or heard about it?

to stiffen your car you need to invest in some strut bars, springs/shocks, and a bigger sway bar...dont half ass your suspension

The class this car is gona be in is an all stock class. Id love to upgrade the sway bar and stiffer springs but...... all stock kinda sux. But they didn't say I couldn't tweek it right?

I might be able to get away with the stuff after teck inspection and paint it and make it rusty. But idk. If I cheat I get banned for life. So I'm kinda torn u know. Gota do what I can with the stockies

you could look at getting ITR shocks/springs that would help and they look 100% oem

That's the stuff I'm lookin for. Is there a sway bar that fits the DA's that's bigger than a 22mm? Wandering if an accord wagon would fit? Or like a gsr 24mm? If anyone knows.

The inspector just looks for oem parts. Shiney new stuff throws up a flag. And then the obvious big name stamped on the sides of course.

well i wouldnt recommend getting a bigger sway bar b/c it could tear out the subframe brace...ITR's are re-enforced so they can handle the bigger sway bar

im talking about the rear sway bar not the front...the rear sway bars on a DA/DC are like 13mm and the ITR is like 22mm thats a big difference...you could upgrade the front sway bar but your ass end would kick out crazy

Haha. Id be in the drift class then. And wow I didn't know the rears were so much diffrent in size.

So if. I did up grade the front id have to also up the rear to keep it from being super loose? Does that work with springs as well? Stiff fronts with stock rears make it loose and vise versa?

yea thats correct...honestly if everything has to be stock i would just see if you can hunt down some ITR springs/shocks and see how it does and go from there

I've got a set of itr springs on deck I think. Now with getting some struts. I'm gettin from a guy who put adjustables on his car. I'm also going to hopefully get the set of sway bars and see if I can some how beef up the tie in pts with out looking too ugly. I think a lot of grease and dirt will help lol
