im not really sure if this should go here or not, if it doesnt please move accordingly. im going to need some tuning done on my car when i get it running. i have a b18b with 10.5 compression pistons, crower stage 2 cams , skunk2 cam gears, dh valve springs and retainers, intake, type header, test pipe and exhaust. with that said what would be the best engine management for a na ls build. im kinda new to the whole tuning aspect. o and for a bonus does anyone know of a trustworthy tuner for na builds in missouri any help would be great.

get a chipped ecu and have it tuned on crome. i can chip a nonvtec ecu for you with a decent base map so you can drive the car around if you'd like for $140 shipped. I have plenty in stock. Just let me know.

This belongs in the B Series Section, Ill move it for you.

I'd use Neptune!!!

And, since this wasnt a want to buy thread, you should've PM'd your services to him... instead of posting it.

to just drive your car around you can use a basemap . . . as long as you're not hard on the vehicle.

If you wanted to tune your car yourself the crome software is FREE (http://tunewithcrome.com/), unlike neptune.

If you'd like more features w/ crome however, you'd have to purchase cromepro for $150. (dataloging and dyno tools)

I have personally used crome to run my fastest times in my hatch, so obviously I have no complaints about it. Heck, I had to be making at least 500whp.

This past week I tuned my little brothers car on crome. Its a 1.6L SOHC nonvtec (d16z6 bottom end w/ a d15b7 head) w/ stock everything except a cam (don't ask me why, lol) but I'll have 1/4 mile times up tomorrow night hopefully . . . according to the dyno feature in crome its making 117 whp and 90 ft-lbs of torque . . . don't know how accurate that is but we'll see, lol

well, the more experience you have w/ tuning the better but its not too complicated.

I would download the free crome software and familiarize yourself with the program. Also, check out pgmfi.org for any questions on tuning you might have. As long as you know what your engine is doing when you lean it out, richen it up, advance timing, or retard it you will be fine.

It takes alot of time to learn and expect to make mistakes but you'll feel better about doing it yourself, I know I do

Here is a fairly simply and not overly expensive tuning setup that includes datalogging (needed for efficient tuning):

obd1 honda ecu - best price you can get

Honda tuning kit combo (moates.net) - $299.99

http://www.moates.net/product_info.php? ... cts_id=170

Innovative LC1 (wideband kit) - $199.99

http://www.moates.net/product_info.php? ... ucts_id=88

cromepro - $150

While it might cost $650 you can tune most of your obd1 honda cars and have them run in top shape no matter the modification (assuming the engine can hold the power).

good luck man
