yeah i know the cams are kinda shitty for boost i have stock ones i can use, if those would be better? also im not really worried about my compression i have forged pistons and i have seen stock b16s an gsrs boosted with about the same compression. im goin to be building a home made kit and im going to be using ebay stuff for now and upgrade as i go

Ebay stuff is ok, but expect shit to break you know?

I dont know why people think 10:1 is high, its not... its just more streetable IMO.

Id use the stock cams.

i totally agree on both points you made. i could always seel my crower cams and prolly find some used turbo cams. also with the ebay stuff i hear it a hit or miss some people run for 2 yrs no probs others 2 months. but i figure hey its a budget build and if the parts are cheap enough i just replace broken ones.

I have a little over 10:1 compression...look at my setup...I have been boosting and beating the hell outta this thing for months with no issues. i would look at some Crower 402T cams though.

why would the cams be useless? i have heard of people using s2 pro1's and pro2's for boosted vtec cars and those are all motor cams.

I was relating it to the vtec world where GSR cams have proven to make a lot of power over any turbo cam on the market.

I could possibly be wrong. Try some 404's and see how they work out for you!

lol i will probably just use the 403's and then maybe try my stock ones to see which ones wrk out the best while saving up for 402t's

i would like to keep my turbo kit under 800 to start with and replace things as i get more money i kno a lot of people say do it right the first time but there is no way i will ever have the cash to do it right the fisrt time. im only looking to have 250 whp anyways so i think i will be ok going cheap

I am currently running 10;1 compression J.E pistons, Eagle rods, 550cc injectors, Hondata S100, no head work (took out my crower cams 2 months ago and retuned my ECU) and a BeDub Industries T3/T4 (turbos been running strong for the last 3 1/2 years). 278hp and 240tq. Understand that I paid a pretty penny on the tune session though. No W.O.T bull$#!t tune either, fine tuned every air/fuel ratio throughout the entire rpm range. The tune took 6 1/2 hours.

Leave the cams out! I did not care for them too tough because I drive my car daily and the gas milage was iffie.

What gear did you dyno in to get 240? What are you revving to? What psi?

The tunning was performed by Tony Palo himself of T1 Performance of Rowlett, TX(current world record holder of the fastest SFWD). Tony tuned my car in 3rd gear from the first 2 hours that I saw. The other 4 hours, I fell asleep and later went to get something to eat. I woke up at the final 3 pulls and did not pay attention to what gear he was in when he finally mustered out 278hp and 240tq.

Google "T1 Performance" for his website and services.

I know who Tony Palo is. Just curious. So you don't know how much boost you're tuned on?

I take it you're in Texas?

Yes I am from TX. Some people I talk to, dont know who he is (I dont know how), but I am running on a conservative 16psi on a daily. I figure my boost is so high is because of the 10;1 compression. I noticed alot of folks with with lower compression have low boost levels.
I opted to build my bottom end at this compression for security mesures in case the turbo went bad, and I can take my turbo set-up off and go back to n/a til I can get a new one. But so far, this turbo seems to be kickin' @$$ and still wanting to keep spoolin'! :-D

whatever the reason... nice build and very solid numbers!

and lastly there's no need to edit words like ass, fuck, shit, piss... etc.
