THE QUICKEST WAY TO MAKE 1-2HP IS TO TAKE OFF YOUR BOTTOM COOLANT LINES, UNDERSIDE OF THE THROTTAL BODY. LOOP THEM TOGETHER. (SHOWN IN RED CIRCLES IN PICTURE BELOW)

i dunno if its proven to make hp, but it does lower the intake temps because the TB and ICV are not warming up the intake manifold

doin that coolant line trick just makes your ecu think your motor is cold so it shots more gas to warm up ur motor. happens when you first start the car and ideals higher until it warms up. for race purposes its good but for dd, its not.

The coolant line goes through the throttle body to keep the coolant from freezing in extremely cold weather as it circulates the car. I have the coolant bypass by adjoining the two sides with a double sided male adapter and some hose clamps it prevents the heat from robbing horsepower and is a good cheap mod. Don't do this mod in areas where the weather gets to under 35 degrees regularly though.

THE TERM IS CALLED
"CLOSED LOOP" WHEN YOU FIRST START YOU CAR IT RUNS OFF A PRE PROGRAMED MAP CALLED A CLOSED LOOP. WHICH IS A SET AMOUNT FUEL THE ENGINE RECIEVIES.
"OPEN LOOP" AS ENGINE SENSORS START TO WARM UP THE COMPUTER READS WHAT IS COMING FROM THE SENSORS AND MAKES THE APPROPRIATE AIR FUEL MIXTURE CHANGES FOR BEST PERFORMANCE AND CLEANING CAPABILITIES.
