^ you need a tune now to get the most of the new parts. The Ls motor does pull really nice from first to second gear. I am very happy with what I got from my non Vtec setup. But most of use with non Vtec dream of having it. Once I drove a 00 GSR with only SRI and Skunk2 tune I was like VTEC!!! The top end is crazy compared to any other I-4 engine I have driven. And I have had 2 non Vtec Hondas, a 04 Sentra SER and some other cars that I care not to mention... cough Chevy 4 banger. I am a mechanic and have driven many many cars with I-4 motors, Jettas turbo and non turbo, they are slow. I dusted a GTI that was modded with my B18b. Ecotecs, not all that great. Camerys and Corrolas including the S, slow. Now the Honda DOHC motors ah they all feel stronger and faster. Pull a lot harder. Honda just know how to build motors. From Vtec to non Vtec, Vtec to i-Vtec and soon A-Vtec. They are all great motors and those that dont think so have never really driven a well balanced Honda. I just fell in love with the pull when Vtec hits and it is a much cheaper way to get the power I want. Plus I will have a nice stock idle. As I said I am very pleased with what I have gotten with my LS swap with only bolts ons and tuning. Have a good amount of torque. I will be keeping the non vtec heart by sticking with the Ls block.

I did more to my 98 coupe. I got a Del Sol Si with some goodies on it that I swap over to my 98. New additions
Rear disc brake swap from Del Sol, 96 Teg E brake cable
KYB GR2 struts
Eibach Sportline springs
Skunk2 rear strut bar
I am still waiting for my B16 head, dam machine shop has had it since Dec. I am about to take them to court over it, long story that is not pretty. I need to get a 99-00 Si brake master cylinder. I think mine is getting weak.

I like the Sportlines and GR2s, handles well and rides very nice. I was having Brooks Racing local shop, do a valve job and resurface the head. He ruined all my valve seats and was replacing them, then did more damage replacing them. I pulled my head from him, got my money back and took to another shop. $500 to repair what he did to the head. So I got another that needed springs, retainer and cams. I have all that so it was perfect. Having all the same stuff done to the new head by a good shop. Should be done by friday if I can get the retainers to them lol.
