I'm slowly collecting pieces for my b18a1 build I plan on boring my motor to a 2.0 that's .20 right??? My question is would I need to sleeve it? I just want a bump in compression, torque, and power no nos it will be all motor. My head is done simple pnp, buying skunk2 valve springs and retainers crower cams with aem adjustible cam gears and over sized itr pistons stock ls everything else b16a1 tranny but with my ls 5th gear. I have a 2.5" n1 exhaust from eeebaayyy. With all I have and still tryin to buy do I need to sleeve this and does this all sound legit?

Oh ok thanks for clearing that up. the pistons I was looking at was 84.5mm. If I would have to resleeve the block I'll go wit 81.5mm, Thanks again for the info.

you dont need to re-sleeve the block...just have it bored out and honed according to the size piston you use

if you plan on going with the 84.5mm deff sleeve and if your going with the 81.5 i would at least install block guard, you don't wanna make those cylinder walls to thin or they will start flexing on you

Thanks for additonal info. so unless I use stock pistons I would need to either sleeve it or use a block guard? Where's the best place to find either or?

A lot of brands make block guard kms, supertech, golden eagle.. take your pick. when it comes to the sleeving i personal am using Darton, it runs around $580 for the sleeves and then the cost to have them installed you can go pretty much anywhere from 81-87mm i believe.

if you are going to use a block guard, make sure the machine shop puts the block guard in before they do any work on the block because if they do it after it will make the cylinders "egg shaped"
