Well for those of you who have an ej1 with an obd2 b18b1, can you tell me what the setup on your engine is and the ecu your using. Along with that tell me whether or not your getting more 17mpg and able to rev past 6000rpms

i dont have an EJ, but you should be able to rev to about 7300 or so and gas mileage should be better than that with a stock ecu

Yeah I don't know whats going on. I just realized the car is running really rich. When I put on a different computer which as one of my other posts is a stock automatic p28, it revs to 6500rpms and gives better gas mileage (20-21 mpg).

I think your ecu is probably bad seeing that using an automatic helps the car get better gas mileage, were you using the p75? is it a manual or auto?

b18b1 arias 11.5 com pistons arp rod bolts/shootpeen con rods/p75 head pnp/3 angle valve job/crower 404's/elbrock perf intake/itr header/ apex ws2 cat back/ i run it on a obd1 p75 ecu tuned in crome but since i have no vtec ther is not much to tweek with the tunning all this is in a 95 civic i rev to about 8000 rpm because that is were i stop making power and i get about 25/30 mpg on 93 oct and the ecu is a manu

180hp/at 153 tq it is a dd with a gsr trans im sure i could do better with a b16 trans because the gears are closer the engine im currently building should be even more impressive and i spank gsr's all day vtec is just hype

I have a 99 B18b1 motor with IHE and Hondata S100 tuned. I can rev to 7000 rpms ( stock ls head doesnt make any power past that) and get a solid 30mpg. Having my car tuned helped with the mpg before I got about 27-29mpg.

my b20/vtec gets 25mpg city/ 32 highway (tuned by kingmotorsports)

i have a 98 b18b1 with a type r tranny running a stock obd0 ecu, no check engine light. A full tank of gas gets me to work and back for 9 and a half days. work is 30 miles round trip

I only get about 23mpg with my stock '98 JDM B20B with '99 USDM Si tranny. This is in my '93 Civic Cx hatch. I'm using a stock P75 ecu. Only mods are AEM short ram intake and DC 4-1 header.
